The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is thought to be involved in regulating a vast variety of physiological and cognitive processes in our body. It is a biological system comprised of endogenous (i.e. originating from within our body) cannabinoids (endocannabinoids), endogenous cannabinoid receptors, and the enzymes responsible for the synthesis and degradation of the endocannabinoids.

The two best-studied endocannabinoids is Anandamide (the “bliss molecule”) and 2-Arachidonoylglycerol. Though they are similar in chemical structure and target and bind to endogenous cannabinoid receptors, they are synthesized and are broken down by distinct enzymatic pathways, which impart their fundamentally different physiological and pathophysiological roles.

Two primary endogenous cannabinoid receptors have been identified, called CB1 and CB2, and are expressed throughout the central nervous system (including the brain) and peripheral nervous system, as well as the heart, liver, pancreas, skin, reproductive tract, etc. in all mammals.

Our Endocannabinoid System & CBD

Researchers describe the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) as the most complicated and most ubiquitous signaling system in our bodies, yet no one knew it was part of human physiology until the 1980s.

Clinical Endocannabinoid Deficiency (CECD) is a condition where an individual has a lower amount of endogenous cannabinoids than is considered necessary to promote health and well-being. Scientists now believe CECD may play a role in the following conditions: Fibromyalgia, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Migraines, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Neuropathy, Huntington’s, Parkinson’s, Motion Sickness, and Autism. Many of these conditions are currently treated with a range of prescription medications that carry some heavy side effects.

Cannabidiol (CBD), a cannabinoid derived from a plant (a phytocannabinoid), which displays a more favorable safety and tolerability profile in humans, could potentially help treat CECD.

As the research develops, if CECD is found to be the culprit behind these conditions, CBD could help treat these conditions, without many of the risks associated with pharmaceuticals.

FACTS

Endogenous cannabinoids

such as Anandamide & 2-Arachidonoylglycerol have been identified in our body and appear to have a role in pain modulation, control of movement, feeding behavior, moods, bone growth, inflammation, neuroprotection, and memory.

Phytocannabinoids

are a group of 21-carbon containing terpenophenolic compounds produced uniquely by the Cannabis plant species.

Cannabidiol

better known as CBD, is one of at least 113 phytocannabinoids identified in the hemp plant, a member of the Cannabis Sativa L. species.

Cannabigerol

(CBG), along with Cannabidiol (CBD), Cannabidivarin (CBDV), Cannabichromene (CBC), Cannabinol (CBN) and Δ-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) are other main phytocannabinoids found in hemp.

CBD

is thought to have significant analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and anxiolytic activity without the psychoactive effect ``high`` of THC.

Industrial Hemp

grown in the U.S. is very rich in CBD content and contains less than 0.3% THC by dry weight.

Our Hemp Extract

Developed By A Physician

Full Spectrum Hemp Extract, rich in Cannabidiol (CBD), is reported by consumers to reduce pain, improve sleep and moods, soothe anxiety, decrease inflammation, as well as improve a handful of other symptoms.

Hemp & Heroes is a proprietary medicinal line of Full Spectrum Hemp Extract, a whole plant product line, developed by a Medical Physician and Principal Research Investigator, who fully understands the healing power of CBD and other phytocannabinoids found in industrial hemp.

Made with your safety in mind

Our hemp source comes from a unique hemp plant stock that we own the genetic rights to and is cultivated and grown using organic and sustainable farming practices in Colorado.

We are involved in each step of the way, from ``seed to shelf``. We track, oversee, and are involved in the whole process, from seeds cultivation, production from the fields, extraction and formulation, to packaging, and into the hands of our consumers.

Our Process

We use a non-toxic and safe extraction process to produce our hemp extract. This clean extraction process, along with our proprietary pharmaceutical grade filtration system, yields a premium quality extracted hemp flower extract oil, rich in CBD, while retaining a “Full Spectrum” of the numerous varieties of other phytocannabinoids (such as CBG,CBC,CBN, CBDV), terpenes, and flavonoids found in industrial hemp. It is the synergistic effects of these healing phytocompounds and CBD that make our “Full Spectrum” Hemp Extract so powerful and healing.

We invest in a costly and strict third party verification and lab testing process in order to produce products rich in CBD that are consistent in the quantity and quality of the CBD, while free of pesticides, mycotoxins and heavy metals. Our primary goal is to never harm our consumers, but to heal them instead.
